Cuff Bracelet

My first cuff bracelet inspired by San Felipe, where they like to say, "No Bad Days".  I'm going to start a Baja Jewelry Collection, so much inspiration there.  And not just the surroundings but, how you feel when you are there...relaxed...a slower pace...one with the desert and ocean...nothing fancy...just natural and earthy...

Market Booth Display

I got some new linen displays, love them, to replace my
acrylic ones.  (That picture in other computer and on my FB
Monrovia album if interested).

I decided it was time to up-date my weekly market booth, it has been pretty much the same since '08. To do so, I'm trying to keep key words in mind to guide me. Natural, organic, a little rustic, wood, metal, rocks, down-to-earth, inviting, sexy and feminine, and somewhat neutral in color. I would like the jewelry to add the color, sparkle and shine. I would like the booth to
look like a little boutique, albeit, on
a couple of six foot tables.
Spray painted the "posing girls" earring holders and glued
washers on the bottom with Guerilla glue.  They always
toppled over and needed a weight.  Now they  will hold
earrings just on one side too.

Needed some height and found that shelf at a thrift store that
week.  The wire stand with the jute bust was around the
house, don't really know what it is for but repurposed here.
Also, spray painted the black velvet earring displays.

The tan table was looking sad and needed something.  Eunice,
who I met that night suggested, per my asking, something in the middle
This is a mirror I had thrifted and works well.  Also, painted the
gray velvet necklace displays.  I did finally get some of  my rocks out, they
really add to the whole display.  Last, would like to get a matching
tan table cover, I should say material, as these were made by my hubby.
PS.  Things appear out of order at times as I do know how to get things just right
with this drag and click and fitting, please bear with me.

May Round-up

This month flew!  Summer one week, winter back the next...don't remember if we had a spring...and back at my weekly market and loving it.  This month was spent on working on complimenting pieces and bright colors and mixing different stones.  Also,  up- dating my market booth and planning to blog about that soon...anywho, final piece for May, unless I get a little time later this evening.  My second Sunburst Bronze Cross from DreamSome.Etsy.com (surprise! I just a figured out how to add a link) made into a necklace with 6mm rock crystal quartz and wire wrapped with 14kt goldfilled wire, now listed at innerearthjewelry.etsy.com ... more organic luxe.

Spring Fashion Color

Hello, I'm back!  Everywhere I look color is in the air, fashion mimicks nature.  Think bird of paradise, red roses, hydrangea, geraniums, lavender,foilage...the list goes on...amethyst, lapis, turquoise, emeralds, colors all from the Earth.  This is my inspiration for my jewelry designs for the spring and summer, but don't forget accents of neutrals, and I love neutrals,  or  vice versa...your inspirations?   As they say, (they are us), a picture is worth a thousand words...

Juan's Copper Jewelry

This is Juan's booth at the Santa Semana Festival in San Felipe, Baja California.  He is on the main street that leads down to the Malecon, the ocean front boardwalk, which would be a more ideal location.  Lots of jewelry at this festival, but not like Juan's.  There is not alot of copper jewelry here and his is the only wire wrapped jewelry that I saw at the festival...have a look at Juan's wonderful work.  He also made the framed display.  Juan is from Rosarito and has also sold his jewelry on Olvera Street in Los Angeles.  Photos taken and shared with permission from Juan...thank you Juan!
